Dedication and History of the R.A.D.A.R./Animal Shelter
We would like to dedicate this cookbook to a little blue-tic healer (dog on cover of cookbook), the very first animal we rescued. This little dog, that we later found out was named Radar, was in the city dog pound and was soon to be destroyed.
After waiting the required 5 days, we adopted Radar and soon formed the R.A.D.A.R./Animal Shelter (Rescued Abandoned Defenseless Animal Refuge), a non-profit organization to prevent other stray dogs and cats from being destroyed.
Besides helping find homes for local strays, we help other communities. We also have picked up strays we found along the road that we have heard others say they would, "Just pass them by, just leave them on the road to die", to starve or to be hit by a car. This violates our organization’s ideals and everything we stand for!!
To date we have found homes for hundreds of dogs and cats that would have become part of the 10 million dogs and cats destroyed in the United States yearly.
.....Reasons for the fund-raising cookbook.....
The rescue and caring for stray dogs and cats may sound pretty simple. However, veterinarian fees for sick animals and all other incidentals are expenses. Although people and companies donate services and give discounts, fund raising is an necessity and a continual process.
With the profits from this cookbook, we will apply to the medical bills and needs of stray and wounded animals. Plus to finance an on going spay and neutering program.
Everyone could helps us two ways: purchase a cookbook and spay or neuter their animals

Cookbook is $7.00 per copy plus postage. The postage and handling fee is $1.75 per book. Please make out your check or money order to RADAR/Animal Shelter. This is a 501-C not-for-profit organization and the donations are eligible for a tax deduction.
